Ceratotherium Neumayri Fossil
A 10 million year old Rhino fossil was discovered in Nevsehir, Cappadocia during a surface survey. Archaeologists think the skull fossil comes from the rare rhino type, “Ceratotherium Neumayri.” A number of other samples belonging to Proboscidea, Artiodactyla and Carnivores were also found in the same area in the Ürgüp district of Nevşehir.
Cappadocia besides being a natural wonderland and a major biblical history site is also major hub for the richest fossils of the world.
