Yesterday I met Mr. & Mrs. Anderson at their hotel Barcelo Eresin Topkapi. We took a tram to Sultanahmet district and started our tour with Hipodrome. We contniued to Blue Mosque. Due to New Years Eve there were many Italians at the sites who came to Istanbul to celebrate New Years Eve. Afterwards we walked to Topkapi Palace. It was a bright day. Mr. Anderson took many great pictures of Istanbul. After visiting Topkapi Palace we walked through the streets scened in some famous movies like from Russia with Love, Taken Istanbul, Skyfall. Visited spice market, stopped at a local vendor to sample Turkish Baklava. Crossed over Galata Bridge. Took the pictures of fisherman. Since Mr. & Mrs. Anderson were getting little tired of walking we took worlds second subway from Karakoy to Istiklal Avenue.
Had Lunch at the former famous Markiz Patisserie and continued to Pera Palace Hotel. Had sahlep at Pera Diner Cafe and enjoyed watcing people having hookah. Took a cab to Grand Bazaar and spent almost 1.5 hours. From Grand Bazaar and took the tram back to Anderson`s hotel at Topkapi.
