From Istanbul, the closest airport to Ephesus, is Izmir Adnan Menderes airport. Budget travelers from Istanbul may also choose to get an overnight bus from Istanbul to Selcuk. The bus ride may take over 7 hours (one way). This would be a budget but a tiring option. From Kusadasi, there are shared minibuses called Dolmus to Selcuk. The minibuses run approximately every 30 minutes. They are cheap but most of the time very crowded. But travelers should expect a long walk after getting of from Dolmus.
