As for opening hours, the site opens early in the morning, allowing you to explore the ruins when crowds are still minimal.

What is the entrance fee for Ephesus?
Revised entry ticket costs (Admission fees) for Ephesus and nearby attractions are as follows:

Approximate cost of entrance fees:

Ephesus + Ephesus Experience Museum: 40 Euro per person
House of Mary: 12.5 Euro p.p. (500 TL)
Temple of Artemis: Free of Charge
St. John's Basilica: 6 Euro p.p.
Sirince Village: Free of charge
Ephesus + Terrace Houses + Ephesus Experience Museum: 52 Euro p.p.
Ephesus Museum: 10 Euro p.p.

* Credit Cards amd Turkish Liras are accepted for entrance fees. Euro cash is not accepted.

* There is no admission fee for children under 8 years old. For the proof of age, please bring passport copies with you.

* The tour guides have priorities to obtain the tickets. The guided tours guests never wait in lines.

* If you are going to visit other sites besides Ephesus in Western Turkey. There is a Museum Pass which provides multi visits to many sites without waiting in lines and you can make great savings. You may but bear that in mind that there are so many stray dogs at the site so it may not be very comfortable.

I have just bought e-tickets for Ephesus and Hierapolis, and also an Istanbul Museum Pass (Mobil). The sent me a PDF with several barcoded tickets on, all with today's date. Do I need to exchange the tickets or the museum pass for printed tickets? Will they be valid whatever date I use them? Thanks for you advice.

You will scan the barcodes at the sites. You will not need any other ticket or card.

Hello,
I bought a combined ticket for Ephesus, its museum, St.Jhon's basilica and the terrace houses. This ticket can be used within three days. I just visited Ephesus but didn't know my ticket included the terrace houses. Can still go visit them with this ticket? (the problem is that I need to enter Ephesus, to do so). Thank you in advance

You can visit Terrace Houses with the ticket.
The combined ticket will allow you to enter Ephesus Ancient City for only one entry. That means to visit terrace houses you need to purchase 72tl ticket for Ephesus ancient city,

Recently the local government in Selcuk, updated the House of Virgin Mary entrance fee. Entrance Cost of the House of Virgin Mary is 60 Turkish Liras per person. Rest of the entrance fees stays the same. House of Virgin Mary is closed on weekends due to Covid Restrictions.

There are no lockers at the site. But you can ask one of the vendors to keep an eye on your belongings. We recommend you to enter the site from the upper gate of Ephesus.

Yes, it is possible to go to Ephesus with Dolmus.
You can take the dolmus to Selcuk. Ask the driver to drop you at the bus stop close to Ephesus. You can walk approximately 1.5km to the lower gate of Ephesus.

Why are the prices in Euro double compared to last year? It's quite enough. I assume that the entrance fee of 700 TL includes only the outdoor area. Additional visits have to be paid extra, it's not included in the entrance fee 700 TL, is it? What are your opening hours and which days are you closed?

There is %83 inflation in Turkey. Turkish economy is devastated due to wrong economic decisions and big earthquakes. Therefore Turkish government increased the entrance fees by double in Euro basis. 700TL (24 Euro) is only for the Archaeoligical park, the outdoor area. Inside Ephesus Ancient City there are two attractions with an additional entrance: Terrace Houses 320tl (11 Euro) and Ephesus Experience Museum (29 Euro). If you would like to visit all the sites be prepared to pay approximately 55 Euros per person. Ephesus is open everyday. Between May-November, Ephesus is open from 8.00am to 8.00pm. Between Decemver-April, 8.30am -5.30pm.

Are prices for admission to Ephesus and Terrace Houses going to increase on March 1? If one buys entry e- tickets on Muze,gov site it says they are valid for 90 days after date of purchase. So we could buy today and be ok for any future date with in the 90 days?

Turkish Government has announced that they will increase the entrance fees to the sites as of March 1sr. But unfortunately there is no guarantee that e-tickets prepurchased will be accepted.

Are they simply allowed to enter by showing their passport or will we have to go to the ticket counter to ask for a free ticket anyways? Which would make the pre-booking useless...

It is important to note that children under 8 years of age are exempt from the admission fee at our venue. To ensure a smooth process, it is required to present identification, such as an ID or Passport, displaying the child's date of birth at the ticket office. No need to buy the tickets in advance.

On the muze.gov.tr website there is the option of each ticket for the ephasus attractions seperately, but none for the 65/52 euro combined packages (that I can find!).
